SMINT’s management and employees are committed to undertake measures for the protection of the environment and pollution prevention.

SMINT ensures that all its activities comply with the relevant National and European Environmental Legislation.

Our Environmental Policy has as its primary objective the minimization of our activity’s impact on the environment and our continuous concerns are:

• the reduction of waste produced
• the promotion of recycling practices
• reducing the consumption of energy and natural resources
• reducing its harmful emissions
• using (wherever possible) environmentally friendly equipment
• cooperating (where feasible), with suppliers and subcontractors who take into account environmental protection in their activities

To achieve the above objectives, SMINT:

• Has adopted an Environmental Management System, which meets the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015 and which is applied to all environmental parameters of the company. The Environmental Management System is monitored, maintained, and improved through programs of inspections, evaluations and reviews.
• Provides adequate resources for environmental management: expertise, appropriate equipment, trained and competent personnel.
• Establishes Environmental Goals and Objectives, the implementation of which is reviewed and evaluated at regular intervals. At the same time, systematic measurements are made and critical parameters and processes are evaluated in order to eliminate or reduce the company’s negative environmental impacts, where necessary.

The continuous improvement of our company’s environmental performance and its Environmental Management System as well as compliance with national and European Environmental Legislation is our commitment and for that we invest heavily on the active participation and support of all of our employees.
